Create what you love. Practice daily.

Welcome to my blog post. I am using this space to connect with my readers and potential crafters in a way that’s current and interesting. Think of it as an ongoing conversation where we can share updates, trends, news, and more.
Design with Ease for wood burning or painting if you cannot draw. Not for beginners....
Sketching your drawings on wood (for Pyrography) or a hard surface. I am getting ready to draw a sign for my garden. "Pollinator Friendly Garden". I will explain to you how I do this by using a printer. Sort of like making a pattern. You may use this technic for a pattern to paint on wood as well.
1. Turn the picture or photo to a black and white image if you created your drawing or photo in color. All editors have this tool capacity. Click the convert button to black and white. (Burning on wood requires having tonal values, but may also work for painting as well).
2. Simplify the image to five tonal levels, (colors of gray) find the posterize button on your edit picture source. Print and use as a guide. I number the darkest to lights tones on the printed page to help me see where to burn first.
3. Finding a "Photo to Sketch" programs like Nexmuse, helps the process of converting the image. Print the pattern and iron (on the wood) to heat the ink on the back of the pattern onto the wood. DID YOU REVERSE the picture before you printed? If you are using your own drawing you still need to reverse but you will not need this step. Cuz your picture is a sketch! LOL
