NOVEMBER 22, 2020

The holidays of the autumnal equinox, Harvest Home, Mabon, and Thanksgiving are almost gone.  Winter is approaching fast.

I have started a "group project" of paintings with fun backgrounds for our Art Group. We are creating ATC's.  The theme is The Alphabet Swap.  You make the complete alphabet to exchange with others to make a complete set of the alphabet, each alphabet letter by a different Artist.  "How fun, she said."

I though this would be a good fit for me.  I went to three baby showers this year.  Hope for humanity! And have one coming in February. I will practice with this one.  The next one will be teething safe to chew on...

  1. Wow, Autumn is quickly running by.  I had to shout and tell Mother Nature to slow down.  I haven't been creating much Art during the summer months. However, now that Autumn is here, I did get my September and October ATCs completed.  52 Weeks of Haiku is swiftly blowing by with the leaves. Check out my new ATCs, under "The Crafts."

  2. I have also created a watercolor pencil wrap for my travel bag under Thread Arts.  I am learning how to sew. Starting in January 2021 I will have started my new project called My Engineer's Quilt.  Thirty (30) years of blue jeans cut and crafted into a quilt.

The new Fall Lineup with Guest Blogger Marissa Hatfield is up and She is styling with how to cordinate your face masks with outfits. Taking her advice from her summer blog,  I even pulled some of my old bucket hats out of storage to use this summer, and she was right, I recieved many compliments on my hats.

I have some pictures to share with these hats. LOL!

As well as, Guest Blogger Amanda Kohan. She will have new life experiences and memoirs to share from her summer.

I have added my June, July and August additions to my 52 Weeks of Haiku, so please check them out, under The Crafts.

August 11, 2020

Oh the summer is fast going this year, even though

Covid-19 is keeping the fear in all our minds.  I have been collecting from my garden and using my "Kellie's Press",  an old fashion flower press.  I collected some in the early part of summer, now I am going to gather some late summer foliage.

I have also started on some new projects for the fall and winter.  One is going to be a lap book, small fabric album, how to use up my huge pile of paper scraps and a new Zentangle Book inspired by Barbara who showed me a web site that is really inspirational and fun to learn.  Go ahead check out "The Crafts" button to see the new projects.

JULY 31, 2020

Millersburg Hotel, Ohio.  Teenia's Annual Artiste Gathering of Friends.  It was a wonderful workshop of getting things done. Check out the Blog.

June 23rd, 2020

I dug out an old picture frame and turned it into an Art Gallery for my ATC's.  It was a fun project to tackle.  I still have some tweaks to do to the frame but it was a fun project. I copied the idea from a jewelry hanger frame.  The picture is under The Crafts button called ATC Gallery.

June 9th, 2020

  1. Made the June inserts for the 52 Week Journal.

  2. My niece Marissa Hatfield has started her blog on Fashion For Today.  This is good for me, so I know what is upcoming in the fashion world.  Also good for some friends who want to know what to buy for the grandchildren...

  3. This also is Father's Day Month.  Happy Father's Day for all the great Dad's out there.

  4. I have updated my Painting a Garden section.  I have created a new bug house and I have applied for the Wildlife Habitate Certification for my gardens.

May 6th, 2020

I have completed the construction of the 52 Week Journal. The Journal was fashioned to hold my 52 ATC cards in.  It was a fun challenge to create this little book.  I used an empty jello box for my cover with lots of paint, underpants and gesso. What are underpants...you ask? It is a term that Artist LorriMarie Jenkins uses when she is describing her layers.   She is very talented and I enjoy sharing her ideas. Check out her link below.

Then you should check out my 52 Week Journal under "The Crafts" button above.  I am still working on Aprils and Mays ATC cards.  Should have them completed by next week.

Happy Mothers Day.

April 9th, 2020      Moon Waning

I have joined a Facebook Club.  "Art Across the Miles".  One of the swaps consists of a junk journal exchange.  You create journals out of junk mail, paper bags, left over material in your paper hoard collections and create a meaningful journal for your Art Partner. Jillian is my partner for this exchange. I have sent Jillian this journal today.  Please go have a look at the flip through on You Tube.  It is called the "Zentangle Purse Jotter".

March 16, 2020

I now have a You Tube Channel.  This should be real fun.... Still learning the ropes. I also have a Facebook Page.  So please, go check them out.

Paper Dolls

Did you ever play with paper dolls when you were young.  I did and enjoyed it very much.  So I have decided to dedicated a series of paper dolls to a collection of ATC art I am creating.

Check out The Crafts button to see the new pieces in the ATC Gallery.
