What's new from the Paper Artiste Quilt room. Lots of scraps from cutting up shirts, skirts, and lots of stuff. Like discarded tablecloths, (thanks Annette) napkins, curtains, and 3x men's shirts and women's skirts from the junk stores. These all add up to mounds of scraps. I use them to learn how to make new blocks. I have started to make a large curtain for the Music Festivals that I will be traveling to in the future. I am making a Drapery Divider, and I have named it "Scrap Happy". You hang this creative piece of art up between your space at your camp sites for privacy. My sister-in-law gave me a huge bag of napkins. I finally used the last bit of scrap napkin. Look very carefully, you will see the two arrows. Last of the Illinois Napkins.

This quilting journey has taught me a lot about patience and art. I so enjoy creating and discovering with every step. I was reading an article on Kaffe Fassett and this is what he said: There has to be courage and daring to make any sort of mark. A lot of imagination is more important than sheer talent which can wither and die unless someone else sees it and becomes your champion. I thank Helga for being my champion. When this creation is completed, I will put a picture on my completed board on how it looks. I am going to a festival in March down in the Keys and I will use it then.
