Did you ever paint by numbers when you were a kid? I did and I enjoyed it very much. I was looking at a Magazine the other day and I saw where this couple was collecting the paint-by-number art to hang in their home.

I always enjoyed looking at the PBN and have seen them at different flea markets, antique malls and thrift stores. The price range was always around $12 to $50. They still have paint by numbers kits. You may purchase them from different on-line sites. There are lots of different manufactures of these kits; Royal Langnickel, Dimensions, Figured'Art, Reeves, Tonzom and Colour Talk are just a few I have researched. I am still looking for the vintage ones, with the old hunters and fisherman in canoes... They have modern ones now you may paint, but I still am looking for the old time vintage ones.

I always enjoyed setting up my space, with all my paint brushes and little plastic pots of paints in order of the numbers. I even finished the little canvases and hung them up in my room.

They sell the paintings already painted on e-bay and other sites. People that have gone around buying them up and saving them for when the art comes back into style. I believe this may have come around to full circle. I am wondering if the bell bottom pants will come back around for a third time.. in my life.

I have found a web-page, (top left) that can change your photographs into paint by numbers.
I took my picture, (middle left) and followed the directions. Ta-Daaaaa out came the picture all outlined (bottom left) and ready for me to paint.
I used colored pencils in the picture above, and well I think I could have painted it better by free hand. But it was a lot of fun and brought back lots of fond memories
