Winter Gardening is fun. There is no heavy lifting, just magazines and catalogs. No weeding except what to tear out of your gardening Journals and planners. You set the pace. Twenty minutes reading and 10 minutes napping. That also works in the Spring Summer and Fall Gardening as well.

I have completed my Rain Garden One and have started on the Rain Garden Two called the Abercrombie Glen. So far, I have two tier bowls and in 2022 I will be putting in the third-tier bowl. The rain garden is located on a slope that handles a large amount of

rainwater that flows towards the storm drain.

This rain garden is very bird friendly. I have planted some swamp weed and sneezeweed and plan to transplant lots of Hosta over. This is a very shady area; however, it does get a little bit of sun. I am thinking I will put in a Viburnum Shrub to give the birds a little more to munch on. There is an elderberry and lots of lilacs in that corner. I have placed a lot of nursery logs, which provide a place for bugs and protein for our feathered friends.

Winter Gardening is fun.
